Edward Stradling, aged 24, on 26 October 1797 in the parish of Coety broke into the dwelling house of Thomas Williams and stole 1 bank of England £10 Note; 10 guineas, a half guinea and £2.-.6 in silver coins (WALES 4/630/1).  His execution was respited during His Majesty’s pleasure therefore unlikely to have hanged though no reprieve traced.
